Job description

TNT Upfitters is offering a great employment opportunity to become part of a team that challenges your skills each day to perform a wide variety work required to prepare commercial vehicles for the jobs they are destined to do.

We are a leading distributor and upfitter of aftermarket accessories for clients that use commercial vans and trucks in the daily operation of their business. From van interior storage systems and ladder racks, to truck boxes and electrical components, we provide a full line of accessories to get our customer vehicles ready to work!

We currently have a full-time position opening for an installer/technician. The position requires the assembly and installation of equipment on commercial vans and trucks. Applicant should have experience working with hand tools, power tools and air tools. Experience with welding, 12V wiring, ASE certification are all a plus.

Some of the responsibilities will include assembly and installation of van and truck toolboxes, ladder racks, shelving packages, and various lighting and electrical components. Applicants must be capable of maintaining a clean environment in the shop, follow all safety rules, and operate all company equipment in a safe manner using required safety equipment. Occasionally, the installer may be required to transport the customer’s vehicle to the designated location.

Job Type: Part-time to Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

An hourly rate will be determined upon offering employment. A performance review will be conducted after 90 days employment. Vacation and PTO available after 6 months. A drivers license is required and applicant must be able to qualify for insurance coverage. Business hours are 8-6 Monday through Friday. Saturdays (occasional) by appointment.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no current supervisory responsibilities. However, we are always looking to promote leaders within our company as we grow.

Work Environment This position requires that team members can stand, kneel, or bend over while working on vehicles and lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Travel Only local occasional travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

• 18 years old with a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

• Must be able to read, understand, and follow detailed written instructions as provided by the manufacturer’s suppliers.
